Day 176 – Feral Cats
The day got away from me because of a feral cat yowling under my window last night. My head was groggy all day. Nothing good got down on paper until this evening, now that I’m magically full of energy just in time for bed. I hate, hate, hate it when my sleep schedule gets screwed up. It takes days to recover.
Anyway, despite the feral cat fiasco, I was able to take a couple pages of mush and turn it into a usable paragraph. Funny, I always thought I’d crank out pages and page and pages everyday, but it rarely happens. Instead it’s a lot of meandering, jotting down whatever comes to mind and the picking through it the next day in order to figure out what the hell you were trying to say in the first place and much too often you find that you didn’t have anything coherent to say and it’s all pitched. *sigh*
If you ever need a lesson in self forgiveness, try writing everyday for a year. You’ll get very good at it or quit.
Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. Your really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world. – Lucille Ball
